Organisations that are part of the CRC and EU ETS energy saving schemes should be aware that there have been changes to the CRC guidance. All the energy supplies to a site where there is an EU ETS installation should no longer be included in the reporting for the CRC Phase 2 scheme.
More information is available in the participant update and can be found by downloading update 14 from the SDU CRC page.
If you have registered for Phase 2 of the CRC but now think, as a result of this interpretation, that your organisation falls below the energy consumption threshold to qualify for the phase, please contact the CRC helpdesk.
The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (or CRC Scheme) is designed to improve energy efficiency and cut emissions in large public and private sector organisations. Organisations required to participate must buy allowances for every tonne of carbon they emit.
