The NHS Sustainability Day Campaign has launched an app to help people measure their carbon footprint. The free App, called 50k Carbon Challenge gives people the opportunity to document their daily activities through a series of scenarios. These scenarios, including active travel or eating less red meat, work out how much potential carbon that can be saved. The user can then measure their footprint daily, weekly and monthly via the diary section.
The 50K Carbon Challenge app is a great way to engage with people on simple and specific activities. Working in tandem with digital organisation, Trakeo, The Campaign will utilise the app to educate both health professionals and the public as part of the national campaign which concludes with NHS Sustainability Day on March 24th 2016.
