Hinchingbrooke Health Care NHS Trust raising awareness on Sustainability Day

As part their activities on NHS Sustainability Day Hinchingbrookes CEO and Trust Board Chair planted 2 trees at the front of the hospital in support of the NHS Forest initiative, A further 2 whips provided as part of the 2:2 scheme were planted outside the Facilities block .

Tree planting 

The Trust also ran a lunchtime staff awareness session in the Garden Restaurant with information and displays on energy, waste segregation and sustainable travel, including promotion of our pool bikes. LA Fitness supported with a free health check and 1 day gym pass to those taking part and our local fresh fruit and vegetable supplier, Barbsy, was on hand to promote healthy eating and provide free samples to staff.

Elsewhere Trust Volunteers conducted a Patient & Visitor Travel Survey focused on travel choices and on site facilities.
