The NHS Property Services team in Kent and Medway will be joining forces with NHS England to plant trees in the West Farleigh, Kent. Marie Gilbert, the local area Head of Sustainability, who is organising the event, has also produced a flyer with tips to encourage colleagues to be more sustainable in their daily life.
Up in Tyneside, NHS Property Services have a low carbon travel theme and NHS staff will have a chance to test drive a selection of zero emission electric vehicles. You can find out more from Joe Mallon, National Sustainability Lead, by email to Joe.Mallon@property.nhs.uk.
Meanwhile, over in Midlands and East, the Regional Sustainability Lead, Jenny Cawkwell, is offering a choice of fresh fruit baskets or Easter eggs to staff in the region who share their sustainability projects with her.
In London we are planning to raise awareness about energy usage and working with our tenants to engage staff to recognise what they can do e.g. switch lights off, computers off, photocopiers off, equipment off etc.
