The Prime Minister pays tribute to NHS Sustainability Day

In a letter to the NHS Sustainability Day campaign team The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon David Cameron MP took time to congratulate all those involved;

“I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge well done to all those individuals, NHS Trusts and healthcare organisations who participated in NHS Sustainability Day 2014. On March 27th, we saw an unprecedented amount of action and support for sustainable development within our NHS”

He also paid tribute to the NHS Sustainability Day Award winners “The awards highlight the excellent work being carried out across the country by the NHS, as well as the enthusiasm and commitment of NHS staff. All winners and highly commended entries deserve congratulations for demonstrating excellent leadership in the field of sustainability”.

The Prime Minister, also took part in the day, planting a tree at the Warneford hospital.
